Accounts Receivable - Cashier

Our Client is looking to fill the vacancy for an Inventory Assistant

ob Title: Cashier

 

Reports To: Accountant

Primary Objective: To provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate record of payment to accounts and handling of cash. To support the cash management, general ledger management and financial reporting objectives of the organization while adhering to the financial and administrative procedures set out by the Company.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 CXCs inclusive of Mathematics, Accounting and English.
  • Completion of the foundation stage of a recognized accounting qualification would be an asset.
  • Two years' relevant experience in the accounting and customer service.

 

Skills and Other Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills are required to effectively interpret and communicate expectations to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and information technology skills are required.
  • The ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy while under pressure.

Summary of Major Duties:

  1. Receive customers and gain an understanding of their requirements
  2. Accept and record payments
  3. Prepare funds on hand for deposit and transport to the bank.
  4. Generate customer statements.
  5. Establish effective communications and working relationships with internal customers.
  6. Ensure that the working environment is kept well, clean, tidy, aesthetically appealing and in good repair.
