DeskSide Technical Analyst

Deskside Technical Analyst - plays a critical role in delivering high quality customer service and support. We are looking for an individual with strong technical as well as interpersonal skills, who can engage with users from all levels of the business. The successful candidate will be required to assist users remotely or in person with all issues, questions, or concerns regarding End User Information Technology.

Some of the responsibilities
Include imaging and application installation of hardware for deployment,
OS and application troubleshooting, creating and updating documentation, support of mobile technology.

Duties will include:

• Provide second-level support for end user hardware and software related issues both remotely and on-site
• Image, deploy and maintain hardware including desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations and peripherals
• Perform software installation, updating and troubleshooting
• Resolve hardware and software issues in a timely fashion
• Ability to work independently on a diverse range of tasks
• Manage workload (incident and request queues) through the ServiceNow ticketing system
• Deliver high-quality customer service to users within service levels
• Support cellular/tablet devices, including Android, IOS and mobile operating systems
• Creation and maintenance of operational and user documentation
• Provide support on collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and meeting rooms
• Shipping and Receiving IT Assets between Offices and Field Sites
• Assist with on and off-boarding of staff and contractors and management of corporate assets
• Provide afterhours support if needed
• Keeping work area and storage room(s) neat and tidy to prevent any HS&E related issues
• Other assigned duties as required •

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • • Post-secondary education in information technology or a minimum of
    (4) years of demonstrated IT support experience
    • CompTIA A+ or HDI Desktop Support Technician designation desirable
    • Microsoft certification(s) would be an asset
    • ITIL Foundations V3 or V4 Certification would be an asset
