Van Sales Representative

Our Client is looking to fill the vacancy for Van Sales Representative

Primary Objectives:

Our client, a leader the marketing and distribution of consumer products is seeking aggressive, self-driven and result oriented van sales representatives to do direct sales to customers. The ideal candidates must possess the ability to build strong relationships with customers in the trade and maintain high levels of customer service excellence. They must also possess the following:

Qualifications and Experience Required: 

  • A minimum of five (5) CXCs including English Language and Mathematics
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ sales experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ consistent experience driving a heavy-duty vehicle

Skills and Other Attributes Required: 

  • Ability to quickly absorb product knowledge
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to prepare basic sales reports
  • Proficient in the use of information technology
  • A clean, valid, heavy-duty driving license
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • High levels of confidence and excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Passion for customer service
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Flexibility, high-energy and self-motivation
  • Reliable worker with integrity and a strong, positive work ethic
  • Some working knowledge of the local retail sector

Summary of Major Duties:

  1. Visit all customers along a daily route to sell and maximize distribution
  2. Execute marketing strategies to ensure maximum sales, profitability and return on investment.
  3. Achieve sales and gross profit targets throughout the product range.
  4. Establish effective communication and working relationships with internal and external customers to exceed service expectations.
  5. Position company’s products on the premises of our customers in a manner to maximize in-store display space and shelf off-take by the consumer.
  6. Ensure that all assigned company property is kept safe, in proper condition and good working order, and all terms and conditions detailed in the Van Sales Operating Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
